Washing & Conditioning

 

Washing: Always wash your extensions in a downward motion with cool to medium water. Rinse thoroughly to avoid product buildup.

 

Conditioning: Apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends only.

 

Keep oils and heavy products away from the base of your extensions or lace closures —they can weaken the attachment/ base and cause slipping or for a lace closure shedding / balding. 

Colour Care

 

Fading: Colours may fade over time due to washing and wear, especially custom roots. Avoid purple shampoo as it can dry out your extensions and damage the lace.

 

Sun Protection: Sunlight and environmental exposure can alter colour. Cover your hair with a hat or scarf and avoid chlorine and direct UV rays.

 

Hard water and using hot water can change the colour of your extensions.

 

Product Transfer & Oily Skin

 

Keep oils, makeup, and skincare products away from your lace closure. If you have oily skin, take extra care to avoid product transfer to prevent shedding or damage.

 

Sleeping Tips

 

Overnight Protection: Prevent tension by loosely braiding your hair or securing it in a low ponytail with a silk tie. Use silk pillowcases and bonnets to reduce friction and keep your extensions smooth.

 

Heat Styling

 

Styling: Keep heat under 110°C (230°F) and always use a heat protectant spray. Extensions may need a daily refresh—use water and a hairdryer to maintain smoothness.

 

Avoid oils or conditioners near the roots to protect bond integrity.

 

Swimming & Sun Protection

 

Avoid Swimming: Chlorine and saltwater can damage extensions beyond repair. If you’re using sunbeds, cover your hair with a towel or T-shirt to protect it from UV light.

Our lace closures are super natural and lightweight—perfect for that seamless look, but they do require extra TLC!

 

Washing & Drying

 

Be gentle when brushing wet closures—they’re delicate.

Always ensure the closure is fully dry before styling. For the best finish, section the hair and straighten it.

 

Styling Tips

 

Use a little wax for flyaways and always apply heat protectant.

If your closure is part of a mesh integration system, handle with care, as it’s attached with glue, tape, or sewing.

 

What to Avoid

 

Don’t condition the base—it can loosen the knots! Focus on the mid-lengths and ends.

Avoid harsh brushing and scrubbing when washing.

Never wash upside down or use hot water.

 

Longevity & Maintenance
